Retired Anesthesiologist. "Sat all day and passed gas.!" Kept the surgeons awake and cutting.
Retired MD, 89 y/o woodcarver, teacher, Chicago area, near deaf. Would like to take archive pictures of work. Have Leica X2. Gotta read that manual! Work in progress. Guess who.
Barruch: 89 y/o woodcarver. Chicago area. Retired doctor. Still teaching carving. "Shadows define the glory of our work." Will send photos soon. Lots to learn. Severe aural disability but good eyes.
Nadelewitz has insights but the wrong conclusions. Barruch is not bogus but ignorant and confused because he has so little experience. The X2 is real, purchased on 9/23/14 for 1500.00 with 25.00 minicard.$1658.44. Used so little and so ineptly, I concluded that it was the wrong camera for the job.
Poor lighting, lousy set-up, un-read manual, failed and infrequent practice guarantee failure all around.
I can't even send you a picture of my carvings but those are real and darn good! Yes, should keep camera and give it a chance to do what it can do. Will keep trying. Much obliged.
Trade or not, how much do you want and what lens(s) come with this camera?
Barruch
I am looking for detailed pictures of my finished carvings. Need close details as well as full shots. Thus, I realized that a camera with selective lenses would be more adaptable. Would consider a late Nikon or Sony mirror-less SLV with telephoto. On a huge learning curve.
Okay. Now where should I put the camera up for sale or exchange it for a digital?
Bought a Leica X2 only to find it has a fixed lens. I need a camera with more than one lens. Anyone interested in an exchange?
