Bought a Leica X2 only to find it has a fixed lens. I need a camera with more than one lens. Anyone interested in an exchange?

Okay. Now where should I put the camera up for sale or exchange it for a digital?

I'd make a joke about buying a Leica with a broken lens, but that would just be cruel. : )

Actually, there are many advantages to a fixed lens. You won't even think about spending more money on another lens. You won't wast time researching which one to buy. The camera is much more compact. You're not going to let dirt get into the camera by removing the lens. The camera's 8 - 24mm lens goes from wide to roughly normal. use it for a while, and I bet you'll learn to love it.

I don't know what you paid for it, but here's what they've sold for on eBay. It looks like this model was introduced in 2012.

I’m sorry to have to say this, but, based on your initial post and this quoted reply, you should stay away from cameras!

Don’t know where you purchased this. If purchased new, most reputable camera stores will allow you to return it, most with full credit or a refund. If you sell it yourself, you will probably lose dollars. By the way, this is a digital camera, just not one with an interchangeable lens.

I am looking for detailed pictures of my finished carvings. Need close details as well as full shots. Thus, I realized that a camera with selective lenses would be more adaptable. Would consider a late Nikon or Sony mirror-less SLV with telephoto. On a huge learning curve.

jerryc41 has the best idea. I have and had cameras with fix lens had no problems use them.

Simple, zoom with your feet and body position.

Trade or not, how much do you want and what lens(s) come with this camera?

I'm away from my computer right now but I'm estimating the values are about the same without a lens, I'll need to check further when I can get to my computer. I have a 85mm lens.
