Thank you donnajdean, the confirmation that I was looking for............ that the Canon 100mm f2.8 macro lens (not L lens) works with Canon RP focus bracketing.

Any macro / close up advise with the Canon RP compared to APS-C?

Why would Canon lie in conjunction with their own product?
Tell you what, rent both lenses and an RP and try them out (at your own risk).

To clarify, I have both lens listed. On the Canon site they list several lens as "officially supported by focus bracketing" but neither of these lens I have are listed. The Canon 100mm IS macro version (I don't have) is listed but not the 100mm non-IS macro (which I have). They also mention they can't guarantee 3rd party lens work with focus bracketing on the RP.

In the short amount of time since Canon RP release date, curious if anyone has used focus bracketing with one of these (non listed) lens and the results.

Have been using BBF for years with my Canon DSLR and would not have it any other way. Also, use / enjoy an Olympus OMD em5II with only one complaint - cannot configure BBF anywhere within comfortable reach of my thumb without throwing off the camera balance / stability. Curious if anyone else can suggest BBF with this olympus camera as I really miss it.

Hi
Can anyone advise on focus bracketing with the Canon RP with following 2 macro lens. Neither are listed on the Canon website in the group of "official supported by focus bracketing":

Canon 100mm f2.8 usm - non IS version
Tamron 180mm f3.5 AF macro lens

Appreciate user experience / advise on above or any other lens not considered officially compatible. Mainly, does it work.
