ProShow is not available on a Mac otherwise I would use it. I used to have a Windows computer but it’s 10 years old now and I don’t want to buy another one because I prefer the Macs for photography.

Hello. I am looking for a video editing software that will zoom and tilt a photo, for example, when I zoom in to a child’s face. It is very endearing when it can tilt and zoom at the same time. I used to use ProShow Gold but it is no longer supported. Also I am now using a Mac and that software was never available for the Mac computers. I’ve tried Premier Pro but like Photoshop it is very powerful and complex. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all.

When I insert a SD card into my iMac computer and try to download my photos into iPhoto I receive a message stating: the following files cannot be imported due to unrecognized format.
These files are in CR2 format which is camera raw.
Could anyone help me with this problem? How can I import them into iPhoto?

Wonderful story and very interesting perspective. I love it!! Photography for me has been a God sent. As I am reaching my “golden years” it has served a dual purpose. When people retire they need to find something they are passionate about and something that will stimulate their mind by learning something new. I take classes given by our local camera shop and community college and I am always learning something about photography. I also enjoy traveling so much more when I bring my DSLR and separate myself from our group so I can find that awesome shot. Then when I get home I can relive those experiences all over again through my photos. I have 3 grandchildren and I have thousands of photos of them. I plan on making a video for each of them documenting their lives from birth. They will appreciate this and remember me long after I am gone. The point of my story is that whether you use a DSLR, cell phone or iPad to take photos it doesn’t matter. Enjoy the moment and remember that photos make time stand still forever.

My husband and I took a trip to Italy a few years back and I met a man who was taking photos with a film camera. He said to me “ there is nothing like a film camera”. He never moved into the digital world. “ One man’s junk is another man’s treasure”. Nothing wrong with that, right?

I gave my old film camera to a photography student. She needed it for her studies. The students have to learn about film cameras as well as digital. Glad someone made use of it.

Thank you all for your responses. I am new to this forum and I feel like I have new photography friends that can help me with a decision. More research is in order for me. I will look into the G series. I had a G12 at one time and I loved it. Thanks again.

I have been in the market for a camera I can throw in my purse that takes good photos. Sometimes I don’t want to bring my DSLR and all the lenses etc. any opinions as to how good or bad this camera M50 is? I want to stick with Canon since they are familiar to me. Thanks for your input.
