The EOS 8Ti is by far your best bet. If you go with the 18-55 kit, add the EF 70-300II and you'll be set.

Yes, T8i is my choice

You might want to test the waters. All of those suggestions are good money but only if you can get it. If you over price your 15 may become 5. Maybe poll a few and make some suggestions and see what they will bear.

I do my own printing so I don’t charge quite as much.

Also, consider packaging. Get clear bags and card board backing. This of course will add to your cost.

For me, I had rather have 5 paying me a total of $400 as to having 15 paying me a total of $400.

Why would L lenses hold you back? I've used L lenses on all 3 of my SL bodies without a problem.

Lack of L lenes

I had the SL1 and upgraded to the 77D for the additional features, I am happy.
The only things to hold me back with either camera is my ability and "L" lens.

This is more what I feel would be great for around $1,000:
Canon EOS Rebel SL3 24.1MP Digital Camera with Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM Lens, Canon EF-S 55-250mm F4-5.6 IS STM Image Stabilizer Lens, and Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Lens

How about a canon T7i, with an 18-135mm, a 55-250mm, and a 50mm 1.8 lens

The more important the shoot will be the more important a sharp lens will be. No superzoom lens with that range is going to be sharp. Are you too feeble to carry a bag with several lenses? Are you just too lazy to change lenses? Are you too poor to be able to buy, or rent, more lenses? Are you an industry pimp for a manufacturer, or retailer, trying to sell us on the idea of buying a superzoom lens? What is your reason for wanting to take just one lens? I see no photographic reason for doing so.

You are not helping to talk like that, just trying to build yourself up... Bull S__t
