The only time I've had an opportunity to photograph dragonfly & it's shadow. Poor conditions. But, ya gotta take what's there. Water was riled due to my Lab.
Good pic....I'm sure interest will "tapir" off tho

I like the dragonfly.
Recover quickly so you can go where you like.
TY...Dragonfly was very cooperative. Also, got pic of it with its' shadow.
Until recently I have had a mobility problem due to back surgery. I still have to chose where I go for pictures. Pictures below were taken in mid day of Georgia heat wave. Both pictures taken with 70-300mm Nikor VR. Comments always welcome.
Heron:
ISO 1000
F/8 @ 1/640
300MM
Dragonfly:
ISO 1000
F/8 @ 1/500
300mm
Do you know the shutter count?
I have periodically passed this place over the years, thinking I should get a picture of it.
It has no historical significance. Just a cluttered second hand shop. I often think of it as "prior to the Big Box stores".
Taken with Nikon D 7100 & Tokina 12-24mm lens.
I had an opportunity to attend a UKC Retriever Hunt Test Saturday. I observed a breed I had never seen before...Pudelpointer. a German breed (cross between a Poodle & a Pointer) He did excellent work, altho he has a face only a mother could love.
Taken with Nikon D7100,70-300mm, f/8

My crew is envious!
Mike...this is a Georgia dog. Your crew is used to snow, Falco isn't. Thanks for looking
I took this originally as a more open scene, as I thought it would tell a complete story..wrong. The actual story was Falco (dog). Open water was removed.
Nikon D7100
1/1250 sec. f/6.3 @70mm (lens used was Nikon 24-85mm vr)
No it is not a good trade off. I have both and they are used for entirely different applications. Why would you want to give up a good walk around lens for a wide angle?
Taken at my brother's house.
Nikon D7100
Nikon 24-85mm

I have contacted admin...no responses as of this date. The real problem is the password...forgot. admin sent info to my old gmail, which I can't access anymore
My PC managed to wipe out my UHH info, so I ouldn't sign in. Thus, "Hoosier in Ga" is now "Ga Hoosier"
