I also, own the Sony a6000 with both kit lenses and utilized this package during my vacation in Spain, France and London. I was very impressed with its performance, light in weight, portability and it offers the functionality of both video and stills. It was a last minute choice not to carry my heavy canon equipment during this trip.(5D Mk3, 5D, 60D and Canon 70-200 f/2.8 L, 24-70 f/2.8, 135L f/2, 50L f/1.2, 17-40L f/4, 24-105L f/4) But, it was the right choice for me.

I currently have the Nifty Fifty from my very early years of shooting. I am torn between the 50mm f1.4 and the Monster 50mm f1.2L used mostly for portraits, weddings and some street shooting. Have always heard to play big or stay HOME, regarding the cost of the (f1.2L) I have also, rented the (f1.2L) for a wedding and was very impressed with the outcomes.

What version due you use and why?

Hi Longshadow, yes the canon ae1 was a great learning tool, given trial and error my pics finally cleared, no fingers over/under exposed. Once I got the hang of the exposure triangle, lol

Wish you and yours a Happy Holiday!

Hello All, I have always enjoyed taken pic, catching people wearing their best smiles. During my time in the US Navy the canon AE1 was my trusted side arm capturing, some amazing frames of my travel abroad and adventures of me with my shipmates. I share those photos on social media sites with them.

My interest in photography is still burning strong, but sometimes life is too busy and The opportunity to shoot doesn’t always present itself.. So, just hoping that maybe sharing ideas and laughter with other that share the same interest. May kick the tires and start the fire of the hobby I once enjoyed..
