Hello All, I have always enjoyed taken pic, catching people wearing their best smiles. During my time in the US Navy the canon AE1 was my trusted side arm capturing, some amazing frames of my travel abroad and adventures of me with my shipmates. I share those photos on social media sites with them.
My interest in photography is still burning strong, but sometimes life is too busy and The opportunity to shoot doesn’t always present itself.. So, just hoping that maybe sharing ideas and laughter with other that share the same interest. May kick the tires and start the fire of the hobby I once enjoyed..
Welcome to the forum.
(I had an AE-1 also, as well as an Ftb. Still do, but used as decorations now, along with my Yashica MAT-124.)

Welcome to the Hog! What kind of photography interests you? What make/model camera(s) and lenses do you have to work with?

Welcome to the forum. What you need to do is give yourself an assignment to go and photograph "X" and then upload it to UHH. That motivates me.
Hi Lev29, I take portrait, Street and some landscape pictures. My tools are the Canon 5DMK3 & 60D crop. Lenses 70-200 f2.8, 100 f2.8, 50 f1.4, 24-70 f4 and Tamron 150-600 f5.6, Just to name a few..
I am also from Ma area residing in NH upon returning from the service, couldn’t afford to buy there!!
What’s in your arsenal?
You’re so, right. Have packed gear to take some Holiday pics of friends Grandchildren while visiting tomorrow. Have a Great safe Holiday.
Hi Longshadow, yes the canon ae1 was a great learning tool, given trial and error my pics finally cleared, no fingers over/under exposed. Once I got the hang of the exposure triangle, lol
Wish you and yours a Happy Holiday!
Welcome to the UHH. I too started this journey with an AE-1, the first 35mm camera I bought. Still have it.
One thing to remember, when replying to a specific responder, use the quote reply option. This way everyone will know who the response is directed at.
