thanks everyone for your info/advice. I was actually checking prices for buying not selling and sounds like i did okay today. Excited to give it a try tomorrow!
Yes. I am just wondering if anyone might be able to put a value on the older version.
Didn't see all of your reply, thanks Bob.
It is a lens. 100-400L. The II is the second version recently released.
Just looking for opinions/advice. with the Canon 100-400L II lens release, can anyone suggest a resale price/value on a used Canon 100-400L lens, the version released in the 1990's. it is from 2006. thanks
Thank you. I will call them tomorrow. I have read that authorized Tamron dealers cannot/won't deal with grey market lenses. but i will check anyway. thanks again
anyone know of a place to get a grey market tamron lens repaired? thanks
very nice. I love the humming bird in flight
It is April, we did just get another 18" of snow here in my yard in Minnesota, but how can you deny the beauty of winters landscapes with views like this no matter what month it is and how warm it "should be?" This was taken this morning on the north shore of Lake Superior near the French River.
Named The Rock, because two weeks ago we were sitting on the larger rock fishing through a small opening in the ice. The wind has blown and piled up the ice and "Iced Out" any chances of fishing here for a while.

Bobolinks have been absent from our area for quite sometime until recently, when they again began too arrive and raise their young. They seem to be an elusive bird and are difficult to get with in good camera rang.
Cute birdie and nice picture

I took this shot of a squirrel on top of a fence near a home construction site, so I decided to use the smudge tool in Adobe Photoshop Elements to mess up the distracting background and foreground to accentuate the squirrel which I left untouched.
Squirrel was about 50 feet away and I used the Tamron 150-600mm @ 600mm.
Neat idea. The squirrel looks nice and clear and i like the lighting on its back. I do think that the background is a bit distracting. The blur affect is a good idea to get rid of the "clutter" but maybe you can tone down the colors or something so the background is a little less distracting. Again, very nice on the squirrel :)
