UTMike - LOVE your series!! We are lucky to have them as regular visitors at our local Wetlands in Palm Beach County. A very unique looking duck. Also had to chuckle at your banners for the last 4 - made me laugh out loud!!
Love your Minerva's, tinyman!! I live in Florida & have them planted along with other varieties. However the Minerva sends out baby bulbs & so I get the most blooms from them. Mine start coming up in March & continue to bloom thru early April.
eztnus - LOVE your capture!! I have had the chance to watch the ceremony many years ago & it was my favorite of all we saw in DC!! I was so impressed by the whole changing of the Guard!! You might be interested in the book "Sacred Duty" written by Tom Cotton who spent time in the Honor Guard. It's about the beginning up to the present & gave me even more respect for what the do!!
dilla.b - of all the lighthouses Jim listed -Little Sable is my favorite. It's in a beautiful spot & the light itself is special. The only thing I'd be concerned about is how much beach is left because of the great increase in Lake Michigan's water levels. Can't wait to see your photos!!

dilla.b Here is a photo of Grand Haven Lighthouses. There is one at the end of the pier & one near land. I don't know of a 3rd lighthouse at Grand Haven!
Hi dilla.b - I'm originally from Michigan but never had an interest in them until I'd moved to Florida & had seen the majority of the state's lighthouses. My roommate & I really got into them & made several trips to Michigan to visit my family & then visit as many lighthouses as we could. I would suggest googling the Michigan Lighthouse Association. They are a very active group & could be a big help. I will warn you that you'll have a very difficult time picking a favorite. Good Luck. I just thought I should give you an idea of what we had to deal with in our lighthouse hunts. The books we used had directions but by now they probably have the GPS address for each of them. I can't wait to see your photos & if you were able to pick a favorite !!
Wow - what a wonderful series. The Bald Eagle is my favorite raptor & I have followed 3 nests (the Berry College nest in Rome GA, The NE AEF nest near Jacksonville, FL & the SW nest near Ft. Meyers, FL) since 2014. I especially love #5 of a parent feeding it's very young eaglet. It has always amazed me how such a huge bird can very gently feed their little ones. I never get tired of watching the whole process from laying the eggs through the fledge of their young!!!
Wow CPO!! I love your series. I also learned something from your Limpkin captures. Over the years I've loved seeing the different bird irrides(sp?)but I never knew that Limpkins did!! Your 1st capture stole my heart!!!
God love ya, Richard!! So enjoyed your capture of these sweet little Sparrows!!
d3200prime - Love your capture. White Pelicans are very special. I also LOVE head shots of birds - it's so intimate!!
Tom, Love your captures. You may want to check out platform bird feeders. I have a tube feeder for my small birds but I also have 2 different sized platform bird feeders which allow more birds to feed in them. I've had as many as 12 birds all at once in my larger feeder.
Mi630- Wow, Wow, Wow!! what a terrific series of your captures of this young Juvie. Loved it & this young seems to have what it tales to survive!!
JFH2841 - Terrific series of some of our Florida birds who prefer our weather to the snowy North!! I live in Palm Beach County & am lucky to see them at my favorite wetlands area called Green Cay!! LOVE the variety of birds you can see!!
