The Governor of Michigan (mr. Lead Drinking Water) fooled people into raising the gas tax, drivers license renewal fees, and automotive registration fees last year, claiming this would raise enough money to fix our roads. In the 2017 budget the state will spend less on roads than in 2016. I never v**e for a tax increase in Michigan because every e******n they sell the v**ers another bulls**t story and every two years the v**ers fall for it. How dumb can people be.

At first I thought this might be a bad choice but then upon reading about the General's philosophies I realized there is a lot more to this man than meets the eye. Good choice.

Finding a good doctor is like finding a good mechanic, damn difficult. My doctor is great, listens to what I say and explains the various alternatives available to me including the benefits and drawbacks and then the choice is mine to make. He gives me his recommendation and why he recommends that but respects my choices about my health care.

I expect Trump and the Tea Party will be at odds within a year, perhaps as little as 30 days.

I have a relative that claims that most management people never carried mail. He worked as mailman for 24 yrs and retired 24 yrs ago.
PM's are selected by 3 unknown PM's.

I retired 5 years ago (now working as a contractor). Postmasters are picked by district managers. It's a bad system as there is way too much nepotism.

Actually I am considering dropping the Attic altogether. Some good things show up here but even most of those turn into an insult contest. Insults, pontificating and little discussion or effort to understand and/or discuss things. Some just enjoy arguing and discontent, others enjoy insults etc, and some who either outright say or imply that they are right and anyone who doesn't agree can't be very intelligent. Post after Post of this, and it seems each one more far out than the last. And to my mind their viewer counts show how few give a da** about what they have to say.

I don't need it, too many things that can be enjoyed in this world, like (radical thought) taking, editing, posting and discussing/viewing photographs, enjoying my family and our pets.

There is a big, varied world outside this sub-forum and no matter what is posted here or on/in the media most of it is not h**e and discontent or people out to show how superior and elite they are (or what a low life piece of scum they can be).

Anyway:

HAPPY THANKGIVING, and any other holiday you may observe. I will make my final decision and drop out of The Attic or not by Monday.
Actually I am considering dropping the Attic altog... (show quote)

I hope you stay. You definitely class the place up and the attic would be worse off if you were not here.

My ex-wife says, they have great health insurance. She married a postmaster who is now retired.

Free one hundred percent coverage for life.

I understand it's one of the main reasons, the postal service is always in the hole.

Not true, at retirement postal workers are turned over to OPM and pay like every other government employee except the top management guys.
