If you’re near Mesa Verde, try going to Durango, Colorado and The Durango and Silverton Narrow Guage Railroad. They have a very nice ride to Silverton and the scenery is quite nice in Silverton.

If you get hungry at Chimayo NM, there is a nice restaurant not far from the Sanctuarionde Chimayo, the Rancho de Chimayo. I ate there last October and enjoyed it very much.
