Hi Turnings, released in mid 2019, this is an E-Mount lens.

Your thoughts?
This lens went underwater (lake, not sea water) for about 10 seconds and water got inside in June of 2021.
Sent it to the Authorized Repair Center. They sent it back cleaned and dry but stating: Uneconomical to repair.
The lens will not focus and camera cannot get the f/stop value.
''Looks like new'' and has been in the original box for the last 2.5 years, so time to go!
I will not take it apart and will sell as is, with box, hood, both caps and lens foot.
I am in Eastern Canada
Any interest here?
Thanks, Louis

On a side note, the a6000 survived this dive and is still shooting!

We don't have tall aspens or silver maple trees here but we do have a shrub that adds color to the pastures called Red Sumac. Turns a nice red color & happens to also be poision!

Before people get carried away, it is good to know the following:
Approximately 250 species of sumac are known, from all of the continents, and they follow one simple, very handy generalization. Species with red berries, including smooth and fragrant sumac, produce edible berries, while species with white berries, including poison ivy, have poisonous berries. Native Americans were aware that red sumac berries were edible... Berries were frequently eaten raw but also made into a refreshing lemonade. Young twigs could be plucked from a shrub, peeled and eaten as a crunchy salad.

Information sourced from: https://www.colorado.edu/asmagazine/2020/01/07/smooth-sumac-has-edible-berries-and-poisonous-medicinal-leaves

I have a few recipes that include red sumac...

For the last 3 years I have used Costco with good results. I believe it had the format you are looking for, 8.5 x 11 with spiral to another 8.5 x 11. They were printed (up here in Canada) by Fuji. They have changed printing service and are now with Shutterfly. I have not tried it out yet, but I am pretty sure they can provide the same. Cheers, Louis

Using Windows 7 and the Version compatible with that system. But can never get it to open or if it does it won't connect to the server to register. It just isn't worth the problems. Too many other options out there. Chuck

I can relate Chuck...
All the best,

Well, so much for Capture One. I downloaded it from their site and installed it and it crashes every time I try to open it. Anti-virus or nothing else I can find is preventing it from opening. Chuck

Chuck, what are your system (computer) specifications?

I had it on Windows 7, and upgraded to Windows 10 with no problems...

I'm only finding Capture One Express (for Sony) as a trial version. Sony simply refers you to the Capture One site. Chuck

I have to agree that at first glance, it looks like a trial version.

But, here are the finer details:
Is Capture One Express for Sony free?
Once installed on your computer, you'll be asked which version of the software you want to install; choose Capture One Express (for Sony) and it'll be free to use - forever.

I am am surprised that no one suggested the following: Capture One Express is a free photo editing software for Sony and Fujifilm files – a simplified version of Capture One's award-winning photo software Capture One Pro. It's completely free to download and unlike a 30-day trial, doesn't expire.
I agree that there is a steep learning curve, unless mostly you the "Auto" feature...

I just got an email from Costco telling me that after today, I'll have to go to Shutterfly or elsewhere to get prints made. If you have images stored at Costco, you can download them.

Or, you can have the images you have in Costco Photo transferred to the Shutterfly/Costco account, with just a few clicks of the mouse...

Reminds me of a Treky (Star Trek) joke. What are Klingons? They are nasty little buggers that hang around Uranus.

I use continuous auto focus, Zone Focusing system (center section) manual, 1/2000 sec. ISO 400 at f6.3 (wide open) I do not use rear button focus, I push half way down on the regular shutter button and get a lock on focus and then fully depress.
Good luck and keep on shooting until the end.

Thanks! :)
