I worked on photos in Lightroom, importing, creating a collection, then exporting a subset of the photos in the collection. Then copied and pasted from one folder to another in Explorer. I’ve seen posts here about how LR doesn’t like it when you move photos with Explorer. So I understand the cause, but not how to fix the problem. (or how to prevent this in the future; how can I not use Explorer to move photos for non-LR purposes?) An old post here which I can’t seem to find said just re-import the photos. The photos are where they should be in Explorer, but when I click Import in LR and navigate to the folder, again I don’t see the photos. And there are no question marks to right click on to find missing photos. How do restore photos to the Lightroom location they used to be in?
Thank you for any suggestions.

Hello I just had a chance to look at my account here and saw your problem. If you still do not have an answer. Look up your local computer repair store. He should be knowledgeable in helping you out. He should be able to explain it in a few minutes. I would just go in and talk to him, it would be easier for him to show you. Just bring in your computer if you can if not, just go in with all the information and talk to him. He will probably not charge you. People usually do not mind helping and it is great public P.R. Let me know if it works or if you already have an answer. Have a great day.
