I have the Same Camera. It was my Fathers when I was growing up. I used it all through high school in yearbook and journalism. In fact, that is what I used when I learned about photography. I think that is why I am loyal to Nikon.

Hello
Your photo is very good actuality. It just needed some minor tweaking with photoshop.
What I would have done to shoot this photo. I think maybe F8 to F12 and I think that the 1/1600 was not bad I might have tried maybe 1/ 1200 . Not sure what camera you have. But I would have done the Pan with the jet as you say you did and but I would have used a burst shot 10 fps. Here is the photo that I opened in Photoshop using the raw filter and made some basic adjustments and then use the details section to clean up the noise . I also included a crop version as I think the jet is the focus of the photo . I always think that people have their own concept of a good photo or not .. Good does not mean great .. But Good is good. Still better than a bad photo. I think you did very good on this shot .. If you have photoshop you can change the sky also to add better over all look to the photos you shoot . I did not change the photo other than to make some minor adjustments for you to see its not a bad photo . Good luck in the future shoots .

This photo was shot on my D7000 well before getting into Nikon Z cameras. Thank you for saying it was a good shot, I guess I am just a bit let down with my result. It's not quite what I was thinking when taking the shot. All I know is I need more practice.

Thank you for your quick responses. Unfortunately I need a lens that will fully autofocus on my Nikon Z-50. Best of luck with the sale. Although I may still be interested to mount that on my Nikon D7000, which has a built in focus motor. But that is my backup camera. I will keep your lens in mind.

I know that AF-S, AF-D and AF-P lenes will, and will atuofocus properly because the have built in focusing motors. The Nikon Z50 dose not have a focus motor and thus needs a lens with it's own focus motor. I guess what I am asking is, does this lens have a built in focus motor?

Here is a dumb question, and I think I already know the answer. But will this work on a Nikon z50 with an FTZ adaptor?

I have heard that some banks charge a convenience fee for taking large amounts of coins even if the are rolled, which I think is dumb it is all money.

With the pandemic, many fast food places and what not are saying use exact change or plastic only. I know in some countries it is card only, there is no cash in circulation any more. Even though cash can be very dirty, I don't think the United States will go to a plastic only form of currency any time soon. However, it dose seem to be going that way.

I am very interested in this but sadly don't have the extra funds right now. I have had my d7000 for over a year and love it. this would make a seamless backup. If I come into some extra cash I will let you know.

I had envisioned this differently than how it ended up. I was trying to have the plane in focus but have a motion blur of the background so to show the movement of the plane. I realize now that my settings were way off 1/1600 sec f/14 135mm ISO 1000. I know I should have been close to f5.6 since that was the lens I was using and yes I know an f2.8 would have been better but I did not have that glass with me. I was trying to pan with the plane so I know I did not need to be set at 1/1600 sec. I guess all these mistakes are just from my inexperience, I mean that was the first time I took pictures at an airshow. Rather than making excuses I would like to know what I should do differently for next time.

Yes, it could go either way with or without the flair. I guess it comes down to personal preference.
