Luck was finally with me - 40 years of visiting Yellowstone National Park (many times a year) and I was there at the right time. The photo is far from good, but I am so pleased that I was able to get it! The rain/snow and breeze had me shivering - thank goodness I at least had a mono-pod or it would not have been usable at all. Plus it was the fewest visitors I have seen in the park for decades - made it exceptionally nice!
Mute Swans (non-native species) are extremely aggressive and will chase off or even kill other waterfowl attempting to use an area for nesting, etc. Their presence can be bad for native species trying to use an area, however, I like the idea of using them to "police" areas of unwanted geese.
I have been having fits hearing so many people saying "ek cetera" in place of "et cetera". I am sure it is picked up from hearing others speak, but looking up the term in a genuine dictionary will tell you how the term originated and why it is "et" and not "ek".
(I didn't flunk college English, but I did get a D. (My grammar checker just told me to remove the comma behind English! I disagree!)).
After nearly 70 years of traveling the U.S. and other "parts", I must agree with you that the "Going to the Sun" Highway is THE most beautiful place/highway to be seen.
