Went over to Choteau MT to Freezeout Lake and Priest Butte Lake to check out the snow geese migration. 100,000 Snow Geese, 3500 to 4000 Swans and 10's of thousands of various ducks....it was amazing. Plus we counted 44 Bald eagles as well ...the eagles were gorging themselves on the dead swans and snow geese. I don't think they killed them but rather were scavaging the birds that got hurt when they all took off at once.

The sound when all those snow geese take off....you just can't describe it...it was amazing. We were able to walk down to the water's edge to get as close as possible. What an experience!

It sure was a great place to be...only about 10 other campers in the whole area....glad we drove over.

Thanks....There was such a large variety of birds...it was amazing! You didn't know where to look first...lol

Thanks Mike...it sure was fun. I have been calling the hotline for a few years now but was never able to go when at the peak since we were working...now I can knock this one off my list!
