People only post pictures to solicit constructive critique from the more experienced photographers.

People who are so sensitive and cannot accept criticism should refrain from posting their photos.

At a bit over an hour I’m not going to spend the time watching someone’s rant. To quote another thread title, “Get to the point “

When I have a problem with a bank, I move to another one.

If you spent the time to listen, you wouldn't think it was a rant. Educating people is not ranting.

Dear Members,
If you want to learn the alarming hold the FED and the banking system have over all our assets, you owe it to yourself and your family to watch the YouTube Video The Great Taking. I promise it will change your Paradigm and give you a totally new perspective on your financial security.

This might sound like a stupid question cause it is. I was experimenting shot raw with my new d850. I have switched back to jpeg again. I want shot some her shots but that line in grayed out in the menu selection. I must have something else changed. I could keep trying things to figure it out or I ask here. Help.

Reset the camera back to factory settings and try the same or similar shots to see what you get for results.

I would look into the Panasonic Lumix ZS-200. It has a Leica zoom lens and its very compact.

I would rent the Nikon for a day and try taking some comparable pictures and see if you see a difference.

Are we taking it a bit too far now ? Or is it that we have better tools ?

I see ' classic ' photos from the 50's / 60's some great portraits of stars , street life , etc .. which nowdays most photographers having taken such a shot , would class them as rejects and either throw them away or spend endless time trying to get them ' perfect ' ..

Portraits nowdays mostly have to be ' Sparkling with Eyes un naturally sharp ' .. lighting to be exact or added on later in PS , unblemished skin, etc etc ..

Are photos now just ' Too Good ' ?

I agree with you 100%. We spend more time in post production and for what?

I purchased a new 24mm lens for $1400.00 and wanted to know if I should have waited and purchased the 19mm?

Does the 19mm make that much difference?

Thank you
