Thanks for commenting Caleb. #2,3,4,5, and 7 were all taken through the bus window while moving. I used shutter priority at 1/500 with my D7200 and 18-300 lens. I tried to focus on the buildings and go wide enough to crop the foreground which is usually blurred. Fortunately I had some clear areas in the window.

Thank you so much! My photos from the bus so far have been a bust! I’m going to Croatia and Italy in May and will give this a try. I need to increase my shutter speed for sure, but I always got a glare from the window , too. Yours are so crisp and sharp. Any tips on avoiding the glare??

May be a ridiculous question, but you say from the boat and from the bus. These are gorgeous photos, so sharp and clear. Did the bus stop so you could get out and shoot these? Is it possible to get this quality from a moving bus? I ask because I took a bus tour through Spain and shot from the bus window and got nothing. If there's a way, I need to know.
Thanks in advance!

I used to live right behind the Lightner Museum. You have made me homesick. I must make a visit soon! Great photos!

Just returned from a tour of Spain and Portugal. Our first and only mishap of the trip was in Lisbon. A woman carrying a MK backpack. A young girl stopped quickly in front of her while another slipped her wallet out of her backpack. Didn't even know it had happened until her husband noticed it unzipped. Lost $600 and credit cards. I carried a Travelon cross body bag which I kept in front with my hand on it when in suspicious areas. My little Sony a6000 on a wrist strap performed perfectly. We walked down Los Ramblas in Barcelona and I never felt threatened. I just returned from a long weekend in NOLA and felt 10 times more threatened there than anywhere in Europe. At night, I carried my iPhone and a rechargeable battery in a tiny purse with a wrist strap and the purse in my hand. Felt I could have used it as a weapon upside the head if I needed to.

This is why I love you Guys!! Always such great and prompt advice. I'm afraid I panicked and ask you before thinking it through myself. I'm using CC, so I trouble shot and found I needed to update my program. Ran the update, rebooted and loaded the photos. I had pics of my beautiful grand girls and sure didn't want to lose them. Thanks do much for your advice!

I've been trying to load photos to LR and I get a message that it can't read the files. Now it won't open at all. Should I uninstall and re install? Will I lose my photos in there? Help, please! I don't know how to live without LR!
Thanks in advance.

Arthritis here, too. I found a large fanny pack with pockets at ebags. I measured my Sony a 6000 and lens to make sure I got the perfect size. It's very handy to use. No awkward flaps, or heavy straps on my shoulders.

There are lots of Youtube videos to help with the menu. I watched one and had my camera set up and ready to go in a very short time. Be sure to purchase an extra battery or two.

I bought the a6000 last year and absolutley love it! I took it on a trip to Greece and had fantastic results. I took both kit lenses it came with, but only used the 16-55. I have since purchased a 50mm for taking photos of my grands and have gotten beautiful results. I'm going to add the Sigma 30mm and I will be set. I rarely use my d7100 now.

I purchased it last year, but think it was more like $197 then. I did get a lot out of it, but unfortunately forgot about it and didn't use all I intended to. There's a broad range of info to pick and choose from. At this price point, I think it would be worth it however, I have vowed not to purchase anything else until I become proficient with the ones I"ve already bought.

I had an expert evaluate my 30,000 photos, and they're not worth more than - well, nowhere near $900.

I understand, Jerry. Mine are totally worthless, except to me. To me, pretty much priceless. LOL
