We went on a cruise thru Carnival on the Mardi Gras ship at the end of January for 7 days. Stopped at Nassau Bahamas, Amber Cove and Grand Turk. Went with my sister and her family as well as other friends...was a blast hanging with family but don't think I would do another cruise like that.

After the cruise we went directly to PA to visit my father and the rest of the family. Hubby is from the same town and his family is still there as well. So it was busy visiting and trying to see everyone but I loved it.

Here are a few from the cruise as well as from one of the hikes we took in PA. I really didn't have much time in PA to get out and about. My dad is 87 and I was working on getting the VA to setup various benefits for him, so I was on the phone ALOT. But I have to say I just love the Butler PA VA center...they are amazing!

A really nice set Cindy. My wife and I go on a lot of cruises and we have been to the same area you went to. We have another one coming up soon that I can't wait to go on. I like the second sunset the best..

Why do folks complain about posting a photo in the wrong section, when the new primary listing comes up with the sections mixed in the first place? Sure one can filter down to a specific section if they want to, but why criticize someone for posting in the wrong section when the start page is mixed up anyway? I guess some folks just aren't happy unless they have something to complain about!

I don't know, I've posted pictures in the gallery section and still had someone tell me that should have been posted in the gallery section. What happened to the UHH I used to know when it was good to find help and support from members?

This is what I played aground with this morning.
Number one is a picture taken in 2019 and number two is the same picture only what happens when I'm stuck in the house because it's 20 deg outside. So I thought I would turn it into a Christmas wish for all my Hedge Hog friend's.

Nice shot John, If that was me it would take a whole lot heavier and stronger tripod than that one to try and eliminate camera shake. It looks as if he is taking a picture of the clouds and no picture is worth that shot in my book.

We're going to Alaska in May '24. I have a Canon 90D and am curious as to what length lens I should get. My choices are 100-400mm or 150-600. My main concern is the weight of the 150-600mm, around 3.5-4lbs. We won't be doing much walking as we both have mobility issues. I'm looking at Sigma or Tamron lenses. Thanks

I have done a lot of cruising and would recommend the 100-400 on your 90D. If you try to use something like the 150-600 and a unipod you will not only get in trouble with the other guest (sometimes it gets crowded in areas of the ship). You also will not want to have your camera touching anything on the ship because it will pickup vibrations of the ship. If you hold the camera your body will act as a shock absorber. The tripod or unipod along with the 150-600 will amplify the ships movements.

Well I don't know about how relaxing it is. It looks like the guy in the pink sweater is setting on the side of the rather small boat instead of the seat about to fall out backwards. The guy in the back is wrestling with the oars trying to keep the boat from capsizing. Maybe that's just the way it looks to me but I think the next shot might be a bit comical as long as no one get hurt.

They all are behind in reporting. Last Feb. my wife and I were in Fl. and it was getting time to eat so I asked GPS for restaurants near me, a really nice one showed up only 8 miles away with great reviews. We drove there only to find out it had closed some 10-15 years ago. The roof was falling in and the once paved parking lot was over grown with tall weeds.

Nice set John, and what a difference a week has made around here. Just yesterday I was out shooting macro of flowers we still have blooming. My tomatoes still have blossoms and good tomatoes but I think it is all going to get blasted soon.
