Needing a Bridge camera to photo nature(birds, scenery)... Years (more than 20+) I used to do lots of photography, then I injuries, family, life got in the way. I want to start taking pics again but can't carry a heavy camera and don't want the small digital camera which doesn't do justice to my photos. Also not wanting to spend lots of money. I also don't like the lag times of many of these small/bridge cameras.
So looking for a good, responsive, SLR-like bridge camera...Oh, did I mention, it needs to run on AA or AAA batteries. I love taking pictures and will be nowhere near electrical sources except batteries.

short lag time for a picture and between pictures.
