I have used Op-Tech camera straps for 20+ years. There are multiple different designs for the main strap and multiple different connector straps. The wide thick neoprene neck main strap makes the camera weight more comfortable. I use connectors attached to the two strap lugs at the upper ends of the camera body, much safer than a single strap attached to the threaded tripod bushing on the camera bottom. The Op-Tech website shows all of the combinations.

What do you think of the Newer Z1-N

NEEWER Z1-N TTL Round Head Flash Speedlite for Nikon DSLR Cameras, 76Ws 2.4G 1/8000s HSS, 10 Levels LED Modeling Lamp, 2600mAh Lithium Battery, 480 Full Power Shots, Recycle in 1.5s Flash https://a.co/d/7zVqGx1

Haven't used a Neewer but I chose Godox over Nikon and I'm very pleased. Check out Flashgear.net. Tim Payne is the owner and customer service is great! Dan

I agree. However, I do put it around my neck. I've used the Optech brand on 5 Nikon bodies and never had an issue. The spongy, springy, wetsuit-like material cushions the weight and minimizes jarring. I have battled a herniated disk in neck for 3 decades and without the Optech I wouldn't be carrying a camera around from my neck. I say that in earnest. I have shot 12 hour weddings and hiked some serious terrain and come home exhausted without neck pain. As they say... no guarantees but I wont give mine up. I have several other camera carrying pieces but my camera bodies all have Optechs attached.

My original straps stay new inside the camera box. Never felt the urge to tell the world what I am shooting with. That said, I find the Optech brand a good value. Seldomly use a strap around my neck. Usually wrap it around my hand or over my shoulder. When using a long lens (mainly for sports) I use the Optech crossbody sling style. Good if you are not moving a lot. But yes, always have something to prevent that nice lens to hit the floor.

My go to also! Great quality and price. I also have their hand strap that goes on my wrist when on a quick walk around! I don't think you can go wrong with OP/Tech!! Dan

Thanks! If I can get my hands on a flash...might just have to try this again.

Check out Flashgear.net (Tim Payne) for a Godox flash. I love mine and has the features of a 910 and a lot cheaper too! Around $130 I think. I would suggest getting a trigger for off camera flash. Dan

Bridge works great for me for photos.

I like to cook and often scan or download recipes as PDFs. I have created a library of recipes in Bridge and can easily attach a tag such as Italian, Comfort food, sauce etc. Pretty easy to flip through and view the recipe and print if needed.

Makes it very easy to find stuff

Presumably there are lots of other similar activities where this would be useful.

This has me thinking about several things I could finally have a reason to use Bridge! Thanks!

Many years ago I saw a painting in a restaurant. This month I tried to duplicate it in a photograph. It was a hoot! The owner of the salon agreed that I could shoot it in her salon, along with her Mother, and her dog, Lily. I think it came out great1 What do you think?

Love this!

In August, LastPass was hacked, but not in a really bad way. Not it has turned a bit worse. Although even LastPass can't decipher our passwords stored in its files, someone hacked the company and got the personal information from lots of people. How many, we don't know.

What's concerning is that they probably also have access to the Master Password for your LastPass Vault. If the hackers can decipher that P/W, they will have access to all of your passwords. Change your password? Well, it's too late for that because they already have it. One thing I don't understand, though. My Master Password gets me into LastPass online and into my Vault. I don't see how the hackers could use that to access the encrypted passwords that LP stores.

The knee jerk reaction might be to switch password keepers, but all your info is already out there. I'm staying with LP for the time being. I'll change my financial passwords and the LastPass password, and hope for the best.

Dang! Thanks for posting jerryc41! I just went with the paid version and have pretty much all websites changed over to LP and now this! Wow! Thanks for Leo's link, he knows his stuff. Been following him for several years!

I visited MB when I lived in NC back in the 70s but don’t remember a board walk. When was it built?

Stan

The boardwalk has been there many years. I remember it from the 60's, wasn't as big as it is now tho. It was behind the old MB Pavilion and the next block around the corner from the Bowery!

Where the bike is used to be a parking area for the police.
