[quote=Fred Ann]An illustration of kicking up one's heels. whoohoo![/quote. An excellent shot!
Here's one that always makes me crazy. It's in the Pike National Forest in Colorado. Our federal dollars at work. Only a congressman would need to be told. Everyone else wouldn't need the sign..

Hey.........What's wrong with old hippies?
Not a thing. Some people refer to me as one. :-D
I like number three best. Bet the owner is a "character". An old hippie perhaps?

I would say they are great shots! In the right spot, at the right time, and with a camera. Don't get any better.

Thank you sir! Yep, get lucky once in a while.
Coming back home from running an errand, I spotted these three bucks browsing the neighborhood. Happened to have my old Canon SX10 Power Shot in the console so I took some snaps. I know they're not the best, but I had to shoot fast so composition and sharpness are sketchy.
As a former hunter and still an outdoorsman, I always enjoy seeing these guys. Hope you do too.

Thanks for including the link. I always wondered how these were made.
Great shot! That cat looks like it's about a milisecond away from gone.

We had more frost than snow Sunday morning in Colorado Springs. Went for a little stroll around the neighborhood.

Rpavich, jimcarter and pnagy, thank you for the advice and your candor. It is well taken.
Tainkc, thank you for the complement. The bygone era as well as an effort to capture the expansiveness of the area was what I was going for.

Thank you Roger and Sinatraman. I'll play around with them some more next weekend.
I took these a couple of weeks ago when driving back from a business trip to Amarillo, Texas. I'm trying to learn Elements as well as exploring black and white photography so this is my first real attempt at both.
Constructive criticism and posting you own processing of these as an aid to your explanation is welcome.
Thanks in advance,
Joe
