Too many Karens around today. You have to consciously open a post to be offended.

I’ve enjoyed your posts and passed some on (with filtering) to my granddaughters. Thanks for your post and I’ll miss them.

WITH FILTERING… nuff said.

Yeah me too I’ve had it with this crap. Do any of you actually know the definition of “lewd”? I’ve traveled to world shot tons of images. Like to see and chat about them. I’ve told some offensive jokes in the past but don’t consider myself prudish. Just wanted to say there’sa time and place for sexual and marginally offensive (demeaning to women) jokes.
A quote from a movie to leave you all “ CYA, wouldn’t wanna be ya!”

Awesome image!! I was driving in FL once and happened upon a launch. It was very cool and I stopped and got out to watch it.

The tire of Ghent gives a nice view. 600 ancient steps will get your heart pounding if you’re not in shape.

I raced for a couple years in Ghent a long time ago. For me the people are the the real gems of a city. To be at the tour of Flanders among the crowds, or the Gentse Feesten where the states are set up in the street.
I fell in a race once and walked back into town where I was watching a stage of the Tour de France. There was an old farmer there that didn’t speak any English, between the little Flemish I knew, a bit of French and the few English words he knew we had a great time watching the race we both cherished.
I don’t have any of the images I shot as I have moved a lot since then. When you are traveling talk to the people and get off the tour buses. ( only my two cents)

I didn’t ask for it to be taken down. If you feel the need to put a warning in the topic then maybe you should take it somewhere else. If you can’t understand that then you don’t understand that some people are offended by sexual jokes.
Yes I have the stones to say what I mean.
Have a great day. I’m glad to still open my photographic “ugly hedgehog” To see some of the incredible with.
Cheers everyone.

Brian started this topic with "Now I just need a couple of SSD external drives". Solid State Drives. Brian also said he is considering WD or Samsung.

The LaCie Rugged is not an SSD.

The WD Black is not an SSD.

The WD My Passport Ultras is not an SSD.

For me, this was a good excuse to see what external SSD prices and availability are. I picked 2TB as a good size.

Examples are the Samsung 2TB T7 Shield Portable SSD and WD 2TB My Passport SSD. Both have read speeds of about 1000 MB/s and are in the $170 price range.

Consider that Brian invested in the "MBP with the M2 pro chip" for it's renown speed. That might mean that the LaCie 2TB Rugged SSD PRO Thunderbolt 3 External SSD is the right choice at $379. It has up to 2800 MB/s data transfer speeds!

WD Black 2tb SN 850x
Acasis 40 mbs NVMe enclosure
This combination runs about 2750mbs on my Mac mini M1. I set it up to store all my photos on it and it opens up when I click photos. I think the drive was about $165 and the enclosure about $115.
Good luck.

There is a time and place for everything. Why do you insist on putting up lewd posts. If you know that some members will complain maybe you should print them and take them to your fav pub where they will be appreciated?

Nice! The build quality of string instruments has gone through the roof. It's almost impossible to buy a dodgy instrument today. Now, they're also paying more attention to 'set-up' and being ready to play out of the box.

This was AUD $50. It's a well made second from the Eco factory. Sounds great, solid bear-claw spruce top (small, sound defect), funny little emoji fret markers, ready to play. This concert has a set of cello/viola-5ths-tuning strings. I put fiddle/mando 5ths on my sopranos.

I’ve got a friend Bernard in Melbourne that is in the Melbourne ukulele collective. He’s been playing for a long time and recording music with his band “The brass traps”.

You have plenty of room to set up whatever you want. Here is a shot of the road that runs through the lake. There are plenty of turn outs and parking places.
