About what?? You have once again failed to explain yourself. Why do you have this problem? Sit down try to think it out and perhaps you can come up with something better than a mindless sentence.

My mother passed away about 3 1/2 months ago and part of dealing with her belongings was what to do with all the photographs she saved. I have decided to scan each one and save them digitally for my kids to have. I'm considering putting together a book to give to each of my kids of their ancestors. This is a typical composite photo page of my mother's father. I'm thinking I could create a page for each of my family members and combine all of them into one book. I like the nostalgic feel to this page of my grandfather.
Please download it for best detail.

I think that is a fantastic idea. Both my parents were immigrants. They came here near the end of the depression. The stories they told were amazing.. All of the pictures from "The Old Country" my brothers and I divided. I am going get in touch with them and combine all the pictures and sent them to someone who can do what you are doing. Thanks...great idea.

I was driving home at sunset time and it was looking like the sky was going to be colorful. So I maybe exceeded the speed limit a bit to get to this old barn along the road to see if I could get the sun showing through the open doors it has... Settled for it off to the side right before it sunk out of sight, as I couldn't get over the fence and out into the field quick enough for the open door look I had in mind.

That is impressive.

I need your opinions! I'm turning 70, and am torn on my present... to myself. L-bracket or carbon fiber tripod? I shoot mostly landscapes with my OLY M5 II. I currently use a MeFoto tripod that folds up to easily fits into carry on, which is important to me. It's a nice weight but needs to be tightened frequently, which is a pain, especially when I'm on a photowalk and didn't bring the case and the tools to tighten it. Hence, tripod GAS. BUT, an L bracket would be great to have in the field because once the tripod is adjusted, leveled, etc. I could change the orientation without having to mess with the tripod.

I have little choice on the bracket, Oly or RRS, because of the location of the battery door. I'm looking at the Manfrotto BeFree Carbon fiber, Srui travel CF, and a similar Oben, in case anyone wants to weigh in before I do some more searching here. :oD

I have been using a Dell Inspiron 1500 for the past 3 years. I use it mainly for Lightroom. We travel quite a bit and I enjoy working on my photos along the way....thus no desktop. I hate it! It is so slow with LIghtroom, slow to reboot, needs frequent maintenance (“new drivers”). I have worked with Dell support too many times to count. So, with this said, where would the UH community suggest I go next in the PC world. At this point I don’t want to switch to Apple due to price.

You get what you pay for. For me, Apple is the way to go

A MISSING WIFE
Those Newfies (folks fromNewfoundland) are a lot smarter than we give them credit for...I think!

The day after his wife disappeared in a kayaking accident, a Twillingate, Newfoundland man answered his door to find two grim-faced RCMP officers.

"We're sorry Mr. Flynn, but we have some information about your wife," said one of the officers.

"Tell me! Did you find her?!" Cedric Flynn asked.

The troopers looked at each other. One said, "We have some bad news, some good news, and some really great news. Which would you like to hear first?"

Fearing the worst, Mr. Flynn said, "Give me the bad news first." The RCMP officer said, "I'm sorry to tell you, sir, but this morning we found your wife's body in the bay."

"Lord sufferin' Jesus!" exclaimed Flynn. Swallowing hard, he asked, "What could possibly be the good news?" The officer continued, "When we pulled her up, she had 12 of the best looking Atlantic lobsters that you have ever seen clinging to her. Haven't seen lobsters like that since the 1960's, and we feel you are entitled to a share in the catch."

Stunned, Mr. Flynn demanded, "If that's the good news, then what's the great news?"

The officer replied, "We're gonna pull her up again tomorrow."

Here are the 15 top welfare states in the country. New York isn't even amongst them. Cities usually are the places where welfare is doled out. So if NYC has a high incidence it's no surprise since it IS the largest city in the country. Even so, it has a VERY low crime rate compared to almost every other city.

Yeah NYC the place where the home town boy got only 10% of the v**e. Do you think they maybe knew something the rest of you didn't?

NYC has the highest welfare cost in the country. The population number in NYC determines how the state goes. Why would those people on welfare and other groups v**e for Trump?? Those people v**e Democrat. Even though the Democrats have done nothing for these groups in 50 years. Are they better off?? The welfare rolls are increasing even in a good economy? NYC is becoming a cesspool. We are looking for a retirement home in New Hampshire. At that point, we will declare residency in NH. The only taxes I will pay to the city will be Real Estate Taxes on our apartment in the city. I intend to keep that.
Why would think I v**ed for Trump? You made an assumption. When you make assumptions you inherit the first three letters of the word. You wear it well.

Rankings like this are usually pretty moronic. The first thing you have to ask is what "qualities" they considered important. Obviously people still flock to California, so the good qualities must still be fairly balanced against the bad qualities.

Having a close relative who has lived there - and who has recently moved BACK there, I can say that she likes many of the good qualities: public t***sportation that means you do not have to own a car. Great weather. Near the ocean, and near spectacular mountains. Ability to get farm-fresh produce most of the year. A state that actually cares about the environment. A state that is welcoming to minorities of all types. She doesn't smoke marijuana, but there is that! She is willing to accept the higher crime and the god-awful expensive cost of living to live some place she loves.

A lot like political polls. I would think those that "flock" to Ca. do so more for the entitlement programs that the job security. One-third of the nations welfare recipients live in Ca.
