That is along the line of what we are thinking.

Does anyone know what this is?

1) This object is in 2 pieces and when put together, it is 2 1/2 inches in length. It is approximately 3/8 inch in diameter.

2) When it is taken apart, there is a spring and the part of a word we can make out is "ddams" (or swapp"?). A quarter is shown for comparison of size.

3) The portion that has a spring is opened up and partially inserted into the case to show what it looks like at that point.

4) The portion of the wording is a little more visible.

A friend has had this for a long time. She doesn't remember where she got it and has never found anyone who knew what it is. Hoping that someone on here might know what it is.
