Awhile back I posted a series on Blue Springs, the spring was muddy rather than blue.
Yesterday morning I rolled out of bed with out a thought of what to do, about 5:30 am the light bulb lit and I thought go to Grasshopper Hollow Natural Area, so I patted Murphy on the head and left him uncharge of the house and headed south, I missed my turn for my destination and continued on to Blue Springs, nice blue skies, puffy white clouds, Im glad I missed the turn!! not as many images as the first trip But these tell you how the spring got its name.
I left the spring and backtracked tp Grasshopper Hollow , I should have just headed home , the "road" into the hollow wasn't very good in fact had there been a place to turn around I would have let say I really should have 😖
The Grand Caravan wasn't built for this, I drove about 50% at not above 3rd gear out of sixth for nothing!!
The turn around at the bottom was sand and gravel , but I made it in and out without bottoming out or getting stuck.
Can you say BLUE?

Nice shots, Frank, and that last one is my idea of why not to go camping.

Thank you John
I agree that's not camping !!
When I had a boat everything I needed to camp was in the boat, came home from work loaded the coolers in the boat and headed for the river, when I got to the sand bar set up the tent and was ready for the weekend.
Beautiful place. That last is not my idea of camping.
All of those RVs are going to roll into the water!
Nice photos
