I've always used a USB cable to transfer my photos from my digital cameras to designated folders on my hard drive. Just connect the devices and switch the camera on...your PC or tablet will find the camera and automatically set itself up to store and/or view images. If you only shoot RAW, you may need to download a driver file to enable your photo viewing/editing software to open those files. Ive done this successfully with Sony compact cameras, a Canon OES, and Nikon D40x, D-60, D-90, D7200, and my Samsung Galaxy S6 Active...all with no difficulties problems, or complications.

With their cost and need for care, Ive always done the same thing with my NiCad and NiMH batteries. I used them in both my DSLR's, speedlights, and flash triggers, so it's important to keep them identified in 4 packs for proper rotation...I also add the purchase date i.e. 9/17 so I don't end up favoring only the newest for example. Prudent?, yes. OCD, perhaps, but anal? Ive never been tempted, despite 'AA' convenient size.

I wouldn't be caught dead with anything less than a Nikon D3000 series DSLR; D5000 series, if you can manage it. Lighter than any 1970's rangefinder camera.

Sorry to say I experienced the same disappointment with several Canon lenses...EF 28-105, EF100-300L and 18-135. For sheer sharpness, color rendition, and contrast, even my old Tamron Adaptall lenses (28-105 and 80-200) were outperforming them.
Eventually I just went Nikon. Their bodies may have their 'eccentricities', but their glass is superlative at every price level.

I appreciate that you may have been dealing with BH Photo for a long time, but lately, it desn't seem like theyre the 'BH Photo' of old. They have disappointed me more than once in recent time...in the same manner as you, not disclosing that an item offered was 'greay' rather than Nikon USA. But BH has been rolling like this for some time. They used to be the most reliable, trustworthy photo sellers out there, along with Adorama. Based on my recent experience, I'm disappointed to report this is no longer the case, although they DO honor their return policies. Try BestBuy instead, even if they ARE a dollar or two more. At least everything they offer is 'new' and with manufacturers USA warranty! Good luck!
