Agreed! I call it the Buffalo curse! I live half hour south of Buffalo but still had a positive experience from my backyard. Didn’t purchase the special filter nor set up my camera, but got these with my iPhone…. The pure darkness was incredible. So glad I stayed out there!
Great perspective…never seen Mesa Arch from that angle before. How did you get it without 100s of people??? Beautiful!
Looks like it was a wonderful trip! I especially like the sunburst sunrise shot. Thanks for sharing these.
Love the Macaws! The color is amazing!
What a wide variety of flowers. Excellent captures! Thanks for sharing!
Great idea! It sure looked too strong to be a spider web! Appreciate your response!
Great shot. Can I ask what the water is hanging on to? Very interesting.
Beautiful shots and all on Day 1! Looking forward to seeing your trip!

Thanks for your generous comments. I have my wife's hand-me-down iPhone 12 Pro. All the shots were hand-held.
Even more amazing…no tripod! Enjoyed all your displays - including the landscapes.
Beautiful shots! You said they were taken with your iPhone. Which version do you use and did you use a tripod with it? Amazingly sharp!
This is a great link! Thanks for sharing.
Spectacular!!! I keep watching and hoping, but WNY is pretty far south. Some high KPs lately…maybe someday.
I did this about 2 years ago and I know only what I know about computers - if that makes any sense. I found very detailed directions on The Lightroom Queen. The instructions even gave details on how to back up everything before you start. I suggest you go to her site and search for the transfer instructions. Took all the stress out of the project and it worked perfectly! Good luck! BTW I love the MacBook Pro for my photography.
Thanks. Years ago we went to Norway for 11 days on an astronomy tour and saw them for literally 5 seconds from a Hurtegruten ship. While waiting in the airport a lady, who was also on the ship, said to go to northern Michigan, but I lost my note of the location she mentioned. I’m in Western New York. From time to time I receive Aurora “alerts” from my app, but I’ve never seen them here. My brother did about 50 years ago, but only once. I’ll keep watching and searching. I was fortunate enough in 2022 to see them outside of Fairbanks, AK. I know they can be a challenge to hunt! Thanks for your response and enjoy the lights whenever you can!
Beautiful! Can you provide the names of towns/cities in “Northern Michigan” to check this out?
