It takes me forever to load a photo in Canon’s DPP, and I have a feeling it’s because of my computer. My MacBook Air has a 1.6 Intel processor and 8 GB of memory. Depending on the MB of a photo, it can take up to 5 minutes to load before I am able to edit the photo. Any suggestions are welcomed. Happy New Year. Fran

I have been using Bay Photo to print wildlife calendars but it’s the second time I have had mishaps with my order. Instead of getting 50 calendars, I got someone’s wedding album. The calendars are on heavy stock, spiral binding and printed with 6 colors. If anybody can make a recommendation, I would appreciate it. On a side note, someone received my calendars but Bay Photo doesn’t know who got them. Thanks, Fran

Tom. That’s fine. Glad that someone will use it. Now we need to figure out how to get it to you. Here’s my cell if it’s easier to work this out over the phone 814-657-1414.

Tamron for Canon SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DiVc USD lens. Like new, no blemishes, scratches. Note, this is not the G2. Great lens for someone getting into our field. I don’t use it since I bought the Canon 100-400 II lens. I’m not good at selling things. Make an offer. Couple hundred dollars. Whatever. Fran Bires, Sandy Lake, PA Fran.bires@gmail.com

I have the R5. I remember Paul saying with the Canon R5, you don't look back once you have it. And I certainly have not looked back. It's an amazing camera and I have no regrets making that purchase. Fran

I am searching for a company that prints calendars using one’s own photos at a reasonable price. Bay photo is a little pricey. Any leads would be appreciated. Thank you and Happy New Year. Fran

Check out Mike and Jennifer’s website called “RV Lifestyle.” They have tons of information on every aspect of RVs. We have a Class B Roadtrek and just love it. Class B’s allow you to get into more remote wild places where Class A’s and 5th wheels can’t navigate.

Nice photos. We were there October 5, as my wife and I cycled from Pittsburgh to Washington, DC on the Great Allegheny Passage and the C & O Canal Towpath for a total of 335 miles.

I want to thank everyone who responded to my post titled “Canon 500mm vs 600mm.” All if you gave me a lot to think about and I really appreciate it. UHH is a tremendous resource. Thank you. Fran

Paul,
Just the type of feedback I needed. Thank you. I have been pondering this for some time and will not make a quick decision until I consider the 100-500 and look into renting a lens. I have a fall trip to Grand Teton coming up so that might be a great opportunity to rent something. Once again, thanks Paul. Appreciate it.

I am looking for some feedback as I am contemplating purchasing one of these lens, depending on my funds and availability. Currently, I have the R5 paired with the EF 100-400II. The reason I am thinking about this lens is I don’t have the reach for photographing eagles, ospreys and songbirds. In particular with songbirds, I’m finding myself cropping quite a bit while trying to get as close to my subjects as possible. Thank you in advance for your thoughts. Fran

I visit the area 3-4 times each year. Besides the Elk Country Visitors Center, make sure you hit Winslow Hill, Dents Viewing Area and the Woodring Farm Area.
