I would have positioned myself so the sun was behind me and then eliminated the sky from frame. Remember to get in close. Now you can expose for the beautiful and delicate blossoms. Always strive to exceed.

It pays to look before you shoot. This was taken a couple of years ago, I looked but I really did not LOOK until I was doing some post processing. I went back but there had been a wild fire so I will never really know. (On the hill above the tree of gold.)
Have an ice chest in my truck behind the drivers seat, (without the ice.). Keeps my camera protected all day in the heat or cold.

Running down stream in a river boat at first light, we came around a curve and this poor guy was sleeping.
