I have two Polaroid tripods and could not be happier with their size and stability. You can get them on Amazon for less than $50. If you don’t like it, you can always return it.
I would love to take shots like that, but my culprits are skunks on my porch.
Don’t feel dumb. I took a college course that covered LR and could never grasp it. I dumped it and am looking for a better replacement.
May I recommend darkroom.com? I use them,
; and they return the negatives, a disc, and prints. They are also very reasonable.
Do NOT buy the 10. I bought one, and it died just after the one year warranty expired.
Do NOT buy the 10. I bought one. It lasted 1 year and died right after the warranty expired.
There is something I am curious about. Do different memory cards effect the quality of photos? Thanks for any input.
My iPhone has settings for portrait or square. Perhaps your phone was set to square instead of portrait.
I have had a Canon Pixma-pro 10. It never really worked right even after repairs. Within 1 month of the expiration date of its warranty, it stopped working. I then purchased an Epson XP-8500 for $200. The color from it is much better than the color I ever got from the Canon. It only does 8.5x11, but I decided to use it for proofs and then print at Cosco. Hope this info helps.
Some photographers may disagree with me, but you said you are a beginner on a limited budget. A very good lens that will cover most of your needs is a Sigma 18-300 for less than $400 and covers wide angle to telephoto. I have one on each of my cameras, Nikon and Canon, and couldn’t be happier. They take great shots. Good luck with your choices.
Amazon sells several which are about 120 degrees versus 90 degrees. Most have 2 hot shoe brackets. I have one, and it is wonderful.
I have an Altura set that works great. You can get a 3 piece set on Amazon for $29.99.
I find that sometimes mats are less expensive in show kits. I use matboardplus.com.
It seemed to be trying to photograph too close. When I stepped back a foot, it would release. Thanks for your help.
Thanks for your help. I think I’ve got it now.
