Sandhill Cranes are cool birds but can look a bit goofy like this one who came in and apparently it was not appreciated by another crane!
Great photos. I particularly love the last two!

I love the artistry in your photos and particularly with this one. A lot of your work would make for wonderful canvas or metal prints.

I always hear it from other photographers that they put their cameras in a safe spot packed away while driving to, and from, a location. here is a capture from the other day as I was driving home. just pulled the car over to the roadside and framed the shot. This was a ten shot pano. I turned to look over my shoulder, and the moon was rising. So I took another couple of shots. It pays to have the camera ready as much as safely possible. Enjoy.
Beautiful photos. I keep a camera in the trunk of my car in a padded bag for those times I need to stop!

First, that is a an excellent image. And I agree with others that you take what is available at the time. But I am curious, have you tried resizing it with something like Topaz Gigapixel? I have recently started playing with it and so far the results have been great. I need to do more comprehensive testing, but based on preliminary results I am pleased. By the way, for the printing and framing that I do, I usually shoot for 200 pix/inch as opposed to 300 that most recommend.
Ditto- resizing with Topaz Gigapixel for a nice and beautiful enlarged photo for printing! Beautiful capture.

I heard this before and I wonder what do they look for if the serial number doesn't tell them.
My exact thoughts. A couple of months ago, I sent info regarding new Nikon batteries I had purchased to see if U.S. vs grey vs fakes and they said the same thing. Something about the batteries seemed suspicious even though I had purchased them from B&H (for my Nikon D850). They couldn't tell by my serial numbers and pictures; and, for me to send them in. Other than shipping charge TO them, I ended up paying nothing and they shipped back to me at no charge saying they were legit and made for US batteries.
