Posting a photo I shot yesterday during the totality of the eclipse. Just a quick 30 seconds in post processing. I had never photographed an eclipse in totality, so I wasn't sure what I would end up with. I think with a bit more work post processing I can improve the image.

Very good shot!!!

Realizing that there would be many photographs of the historic total eclipse, I wanted to photograph the people who were watching the eclipse. Here are some of my images from the event. I use two, NIKON Z9, with a 24-70 2.8 S and 70-200mm 2.8 S, ISO 100, various F stops.

Very good photos.!!! And the glamour of B&W enhaces them a lot.

I found these from 2021 on my travel hard drive.

What I remember about these two photos (from a whole series I took as I was walking back to my car), is that people with cell phones just kept walking past me, seemingly totally ignoring the potential in these images...except for one woman. She asked me if she could see how I framed the shots, who said, "you must know what you're doing, because you have an real camera."

Very nice scenary!!

Since I'm a Volunteer at the Superstition Mountain Museum, I get to attend these special events at no cost. All of my photos are then edited and donated to the Museum for their usage.

This event was a fundraiser for the non-profit Museum and featured a Mariachi Band, playing instruments and singing. The day was cloudy and threatening, but rain was not in the forecast (yeah sure). The attendees were eating the prepared meal and snapping shots with their cellphone cameras, as I wandered around shooting the band and the scenery.

During the meal, a rainbow appeared, very light at first but quickly intensifying as it moved above Superstition Mountain in the background.

1) I kept snapping shots and managed to capture the one posted here, with the band still playing and oblivious to what was going on behind them.

2) The second shot was taken as the rainbow was fading and appears to have its base on the ridgeline, just a short distance from where I was standing (no, I wasn't able to locate the pot of gold).

3) The final shot was taken as the rainbow was behind the Wickiups (Apache Village) and above the Mountain in the background.

And then, as a finale, the rains began. Everyone quickly ran for the coverage of the roof-covered patio where the band re-assembled and continued playing.

Actually, both DxO PhotoLab and DxO's version of the Nik Collection are very reliable and have tens of thousands of users.

I cannot say what issues the person you are replying to had and why they were not resolved, nor do we know which software he was using and which version, but I have been a DxO software beta tester for the last five years, and the majority of reported compatibility issues are not directly attributable to problems with DxO's software.

In your situation you seem confused about which DxO software and version you actually have a license for, and which software you actually tried to use as a plugin with Lightroom. DXO PhotoLab 7 Elite is a competitor of Lightroom and is not a Lightroom plugin. The Nik Collection 6 can be used as plugins with Lightroom classic. Until you can be a little clearer with a greater understanding of what you have it is difficult to help you.

If many people had compatibility problems with different DXO software then I assume that something is not right with the software and unless the user is super expert in computer science to solve system compatibility.

Does anyone use this system? I purchased it a while ago (late 2022)and used it sometimes, but now I can't get it to work, and despite frequent attempts at reaching out to their support team, the answers are not clear. I do have a receipt, and the activation code, but it seems that perhaps the Dxo Collection and 'Dxo Photolab' are two different things, and I just can't figure it out? I used to experiment with it and didn't have any problem!?
Thanks!

DXO is an unreliable company. A few year ago I bought the Dxo raw development package from the company itself and could never get it to work. I contacted them, I gave them full access to my computer, but the problem was never solved and I lost my money. I recently downloaded the trial version of Nik collection 6 (same as version 5) and there were modules that did not open. In any case, if you can get the old version Google software of Nick collection, it is more than enough for any job, it is free and work like a charm.
