Great shots! The frog in the mouth makes it extra special.
It's best to drive down US 101 from north to south. Almost of the the the scenic pull outs are on the ocean side. You won't has to cross traffic to pull off and it will be easier to merge back on the the 101.
Thank you from another person. Just what I needed to know. The archive search really is a quick way to get a question answered
Nice shot. I love the way you captured the long feathers.
Travel from north to south. The scenic waysides are all on your right. When you pull back on to 101, you won't have to cross traffic. There are many bridges built on the 1930's that you won't want to miss.
Very creative and eye catching. I need to learn how to do that.
When we hiked the Slot Canyon area last spring, we went with
www.hikingslotcanyons.com (928) 640-0796 This is a small operation. They give private tours and go at your pace. Same price as the other operators charge for a group tour. This is a family operation. The tour guides played in these canyons as kids.
While in Monument Valley we were in an RV so I can't tell you about the hotels.
Meteor Crater is amazing. Not exactly photogenic. But to stand there, look at a huge hole and realize a meteor struck there takes your breath away. This was a roadside attraction in the Route 66 days.
Both photos are wonderful examples of two different techniques. I can feel the ocean in both of them.
Great shot!. Now I know why they call them Green Herons.
You use the dial on the upper right corner of the back of the body. By turning the dial, both the aperture and shutter speed change. The same dial you use to change the aperture in the A mode. The ISO I set manually, didn't change.
