I have a Nikon D5100 and use Elements 13 with NIK plugins. If I upgrade to a D7500 will it be compatible with Elements 13? Thanks in advance.
I use a D 7500 with Elements 14 , no problems , you should be good to go.

Go to Adobe's website and see if it's compatible. Just because someone said that it was compatible with 14 doesn't mean it will be compatible with 13 which is a year older.
You will be able to work with the D7500's JPEGs in Elements 13, but not with it's RAW files.
D7500 RAW (NEF) files require Adobe Camera Raw version 9.12 or later. The highest version of ACR that can be found in Elements 13 is 9.0.
If you want to work with the RAW files, you have a choice:
1. Buy a new copy of Elements. As a current user you qualify for upgrade price of $80 that's only available when bought directly from Adobe... Or pay $100 for full version of Elements 2019 elsewhere. There's also a $150 bundle price for Elements 2019 AND Premiere Elements 2019, if you want to work with videos too. Or...
2. Download and install the free Adobe DNG Raw Converter, use that to convert your NEF files to Adobe's "universal" DNG RAW format, then work on those in your current copy of Elements. (Note: Do a search online for "problems with DNG files", to help you decide. Some people have encountered issues working with DNG files in programs other than Adobe's. One solution is to simply save both your NEF files and the DNG conversions, but of course that increases the amount of storage space you'll need.)
Thank you from another person. Just what I needed to know. The archive search really is a quick way to get a question answered
