I received both (hood and case) with Z 70-200 lens I recently purchased and several other Z lenses purchased earlier.
My new Nikon Z 18-140 lens was just delivered from B & H. I was somewhat disappointed to see that no lens hood or case was included in the original Nikon box, but instead both items are listed as “Optional”. Is this now standard practice for Nikon? What other Nikon products are being similarly packaged?
Having lived there for many years and been there a few years ago, just a few random thoughts….wear khaki or light neutral color shirts with pockets - great for lens caps etc. and cooler. Also be sure you shoot in RAW(NEF), I didn’t realize I was shooting JPEG until 3/4 through the trip, which as you know limits later editing capabilities. Take extra fully charged batteries and a US/South Africa adapter plug for recharging (available on Amazon).

Great shot Bill, and thanks for another memory of my childhood years. Hoping to visit the area later this summer for a trip down memory lane.
Great shot, Bill. Somethings change very little over time.
Great picture, Bill. I guess you need more cold weather to get the skaters out.

Bill, fabulous shot! Might be i teresting to see the same subject in different seasons.
Great shot Bill.
Hard to believe it is only about 25 miles away from midtown Manhattan.
Great shot, Bill. Brings back memories of childhood in Westfield. Have you checked out Lake Surprise yet?
Another consideration for photographers having cataract surgery...my surgeon recommended I go with clear lenses as compared to the usual yellow tinted lenses in order to see truer colors. After the first eye was operated on I immediately noticed a huge difference in color, particularly the color white, from yellowish tinge (in untreated side) to pure snow white (with new clear lens).
My wife and I both agree. B&H and others make it too easy to fulfill ideas and “suggestions” presented here on Ugly Hedgehog.
Joe - I’ve been following your travelogue and amazing pictures with great interest, having travelled frequently to many of the cities from the late 1970s thru early 2000s. The size and scale of “post oil boom” opulence is almost unbelievable and regrettably, some of the old neighborhoods have been demolished. Thank you!
I have found PayPal to be a good cc alternative when ordering online - particularly with one-off purchases, and in the event of a dispute with a seller, PayPal is invaluable in resolving it quickly. After several delays in shipping item and not getting any response from seller to my emails and voicemails, i contacted Paypal and had my money back within 48 hours.
