From a knowledgeable photog with experience in the Punchbowl:
Usually shoots with a 14-24, but if you are shooting FF, 24 should be good.
Cape Breton Island is beautiful. Louisbourg has an amazing French fort and period houses. There are a couple of “captured in time” villages close to the east coast between Cape Breton and Halifax. Halifax is an interesting city with an English fort. If you go to Halifax do not miss the Halifax Central Library. One of the most extraordinary buildings I have ever experienced.
The Burren National Park and the Cliffs of Moher. You will be able to get beautiful shots in every direction. Traveled there a couple of years ago with my patient non-photographer sister.
But that’s a handsome Hedgehog.
I have the iPhone 12 Pro Max. From what I have read is the Pro has around a 52mm for its long lens and the Pro Max is around 65mm for its ‘tele’. I upgraded from a 10 so I saw a great improvement in the camera. Not cheap, but it is a very descent backup camera.
I bought a used 200-500 in excellent condition for less than a thousand dollars. Great Lens. Nikon occasionally have sales on refurbs. Another way to go.
YouTube has many “Lens Ball Photography” videos.
For me, Photography is the perfect blend of art and technology. I love learning photography and being able to apply what I learn to the next shot. When I look through the viewfinder I want to find something a little different, something I haven’t seen before. I live in a place of great natural beauty and iconic structures. It is easy to find postcard pictures. I shoot to find something a little different.
Bought a 200-500 f/5.6. Excellent condition. Caps, hood, bag. As promised. One year warranty. I will buy my next lens from them. I saved about $500 over a new lens. Only things I didn’t get was a manual (available online from Nikon) and a box, “meh”.
I bought an L-bracket for my 850 (sunwayfoto) for around $60. I see they are now $50. Solid, been using it for over two years. Make sure you tighten the stop screws. No other issues.
That’s what I’m talking about.
