After calling Canon, we updated the Firmware and it seems to be OK, a big sigh of relief, Thanks everyone for your comments
I would like to thank everyone for their helpful suggestions. I called Canon who helped me upload the latest Firmware software, so tomorrow morning I'll see/and hope, the problem is solved
Thanks. It stops working and really overheats. It took over an hour for it to cool off. I'll listen to you all and call Canon
It overheats on stills. I dont use it for video
Hi Camera enthusiasts out there,
After waiting a year, I finally bought a Canon R5 and a Canon r lens 100-500. I was thrilled! I was in Camera heaven! I did a basketball shoot, I was really happy. Now I'm taking it out to the wetlands for bird photography, and it's dramatically overheating. The firmware is 1.4.0. Do I call Canon and send it back, or is it a software problem? What are your thoughts?
Hi, I have a Canon EOS 5D Mark IV, which is a great camera but weighs a ton. I'm looking at the R5 or the R6 as replacements. I love bird photography scenery like waterfalls and when i feel safer, on stage acts. The R5 sounds better for birds, where cropping is needed, and the R6 is better for low light. I'm anxious to here opinions from this group

Thanks, I like to read your answers on this web site. You seem very knowledgeable
Thank you, I will check it out. It looks like what I need
Hi Everyone,
My wobbly tripod finally broke, i will say "yeah" as I need a good light weight one that can hold a camera with a 500mm lens. I like photographing birds and sports. Any suggestions?

I had posted this question six years ago. I thought it would be fun to ask it again. I consider my photography as a journey. Why do you shoot and where do you want to go with it?
What hooked me was a shot I took of an anhinga upside down feeding her fledgling in flight. There was so much commotion, I didn't see it, but the camera did. That was five years ago and many visits to beautiful natural areas gave me a new lease on life.
Thank you photography
Looks like a great afternoon
Simply loved photo 1 and 2 great job, photo 3 is missing a subject/focal point
Hi "Going to Boca" The MUST GO photography place in Boca Raton is Wakodahatchee. Right now wood storks are breeding close to the wooden walk ways. It is an amazing site to photo wild life, truly a gem.
