The only problem I can foresee is disk fragmentation. A newly formatted disk will facilitate writing files using sequential blocks. If there aren't sufficient sequential blocks available it will create a pointer to an available block and continue the write. If the disk is fragmented (by deleting individual files), one could have any number of pointers increasing the time required to write the entire file to disk. Sometimes the write lag is quite noticeable.

I have been to Chichen Itza about 4 times over the years. It has the most beautifully preserved pyramid and many other wonderful buildings, including the observatory and ball court. I notice that there are no people climbing the pyramid in your images. In the past, people were allowed to climb. Do they still allow that?
The pyramid has an entry at ground level and you then go up via super narrow winding stairs leading to a chamber with a jade jaguar. I did that once, but never see that mentioned in anything about the pyramid. One time we were there in a super super hot day with no clouds and the next minute we were in a torrential downpour that soaked us all to our bones and ruined my camera. Great archeological site.

A tourist took a tumble a few years ago and didn't recover. Climbing the steps no longer allowed. I would not have done it anyway; very steep!

A couple of hours at Chichen Itza in March 2019. Very cloudy; not great light for photos, but a lovely time.

I find both appealing. The pre-cropped shows more of the habitat, while the cropped better contrasts the eagle's color and pattern with the water.

As a tourist I usually go with the flow, but sometimes I find this useful. https://www.shothotspot.com/#search

Loved my Pentax LX. I went digital (Olympus) and gave it to my daughter. She used it for a college photography class. and now it's a museum piece.

Lightroom 6 Slideshow option has an Export PDF function that works very well. I use it often to share photos.
