Excellent setup. For ease of image transfer, consider adding the HP 15-in-1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 5.25/3.25" Internal Media Card Reader $50 B&H

I'm trying to get into real estate photography. I bought a course for it (http://lightingforrealestatephotography.com/) and in it Scott Hargis says to set iso to 320 and the aperture to 7.1 . Why do you think that is? Why wouldn't you set iso to 100 and the aperture to 8? I'm not too concerned with the aperture setting but am curious about why the iso.

A relatively high ISO will allow you to get more out of your flashes.

Having gone on many “away missions” over the years, and prioritizing your “light as possible” criteria, I suggest using the 24-105mm f/4L on the 5D for 90% of your images and the 55-250mm 4-5.6 IS on the 70D for reach and flavor. However, if the ceremony will be in very close quarters; such as, a living room, the 17-40mm would come in handy. Happy shooting!

I'm looking for the best deal on this lens. Where should I buy it? So far the price I've found is about $2,050.

Thanks for your help in advance!

May I suggest Greentoe.com. The lowest current online price is $1,999 through Amazon; however, Greentoe is a site that allows you to make an offer on a brand new USA version. If the offer is accepted, you are expected to make the purchase immediately. My guess is that an offer of $1,850 might be countered and $1,900 might be accepted rather quickly. That’s an awesome lens. Good luck!

A friend had a D850 on order with BH. He got tired of waiting. Contacted this company and received the D850 in less then a week. He might have just got lucky.

“Greentoe is the way to go.” I had an excellent experience with them when I purchased my Canon 16-35mm f4 L a couple months ago.

Excellent condition. Includes caps and hood. $400 plus shipping. Pro real estate photographer moved up to 16-35mm F/4 L and don’t need both lenses. (Current KEH price: $528) PayPal accepted.

The Canon EF 17-40mm f/4 L USM is a professional grade wide angle zoom lens. With the ability to go from normal to ultra wide angle focal lengths without changing lenses it's a great tool for for architectural, landscape, & street photographers.
This lens features a plastic body, meaning its lightweight and easy to carry around for long periods of time. The optics are very good despite the fact that it's a zoom. It also features a constant aperture of f/4 which is more than enough for daylight shooting. It also features Canon's USM (Ultra Sonic Motor) drive, which focuses quickly and makes the lens nearly silent.
An affordable L-series ultra-wide-angle zoom lens that's ideal for both film and digital SLRs. Superior optics are assured by the use of three Aspherical lens elements, in addition to a Super UD (Ultra-low Dispersion) glass element. Optical coatings are optimized for use with digital cameras. It offers weather-resistant construction similar to other high-end L-series lenses.
