The military and the politicians want to know if what has been visually observed and detected with RADAR and infrared cameras violating our sensitive airspace with craft that out-maneuver anything we have might be data collection assets of an unfriendly nation. They're not saying these craft are from outer-space but that they don't know what they are and what their intents are.
Wouldn't you want to know the "why" and "how" if someone could access every internet account and do as they please, no matter what was done to try and stop them?
And how many questions would be posed if we knew that we wouldn't like the answer (ignorance is bliss).
