…yeah…this is the PhotoPills app…it a photography planning app that helps you align celestial objects with different locations…I was hoping to use the ruins of this church as a backdrop to the solar eclipse…but as you can see, all I saw was clouds that day…

A friend is about 72, and I don't think she's ever had a printer. She uses the library or Staples for any printing. Although she has a laptop, she uses her phone almost exclusively. She asked me for advice about buying a printer.

Printers are great, but since they were invented by the Devil, they can torment the user. I'm going to recommend an Epson Ink Tank and suggest she go through the wireless printing setup, something I've never done. I have enough trouble with printers without worrying about getting them to work with Wi-Fi. I'm also going to give her the choice of a cheap ink cartridge printer because I don't think she'll do much printing. I dread the phone calls and emails when her printer doesn't work right. 🙄

EDITED: I recommended to new version of my Epson ET-2760. It's the ET-2800 for $200. Mine has printed thousands of copies on the original ink - since 2020.

Staples has a Epson Expression Home XP-5200 Wireless Color All-in-One Inkjet Printer for $80…that would be my choice and I would expect you to help her set it up to her phone and her computer…

I am looking to buy a camera and I wanted to know three things first of all. What brand would you buy?
Second, what type would you buy i.e. mirror less or DSLR
And finally, would you ever buy a camera that has been refurbished?

…I will answer your 3 questions…

1. Sony, Nikon & Canon are the top selling brands of cameras as of today (approximately 85% of the market)…so I would buy one from them…
2. Mirrorless cameras (often referred to as MILC or DSLM) are the direction the industry has move to, so I would buy mirrorless.
3. …and Yes, I would buy refurbished…

“As far as $$ goes, no one better than than the legendary John Bogle, the founder of Vanguard and leading proponent of index investing. Take a look at Bogleheads.com...his principles have been proven time and time again. He far eclipses any other figure in the financial world.”

…I drank the cool aid…I’m a Boglehead…!!!

If a few of the ones facing Earth start blowing off material it could definitely result in Auroras. Even a glancing blow can give rise to an Aurora.
