Senior pictures (or any school photos are normally covered by a blanket agreement/release to the school.

Get a photo release signed by subject and parent(s). Should be able to find forms on line.

I use one only if I'm in a dusty or misty environment. Otherwise I rely on a lens hood sized for the lens...so far (40+ years) no problems!
