A special place with spectacular vistas. Played it in 2007. The 8th hole in the backround of the last pic was challenging for me! A blind tee shot up to the plateau, then over chasm to the fairway and green in the foreground. I cleared the chasm which was my best shot of the day!

Fond memories and nice pictures. Torrey Pines is also breathtaking but in a different way

Beautiful shots! I especially like the expansive second picture of Golden Gate with the city and bay in the background.

Flat sky beats no sky. Consider a shot from Point Reyes about 11 years ago

Agree with the iMac suggestions above. I’ve been an Apple fan since my first Mac Plus in 1986. Developed globally distributed software on a Mac ii CI in the early 90s for a major financial institution.

Have had the 27” iMac since 2010 and love the screen real estate even without Retina. My iPad Air meets my portability needs.

The kids (adults really!) all have MBPs and love them if you really need a laptop. Admittedly pricier than the Windows alternative but they last forever.

Best of luck!

I went for the Sony A6000 last January with the Sony 18-105 for just under $1,000. Very happy with it.

Also looked hard at the Canon T6i and was about to pull the trigger on that when someone at Unique Photo asked “have you looked at mirrorless?” then had the patience to walk through multiple variations/manufacturers with me.

My apologies to Rongnongno, but my recommendation is Apple. If your laptop is going to be the only computer used for this task, you should look at the larger ones. My personal preference is 13" MacBook Pro (not much editing done here, but very portable) in combination with an iMac 27" 5k Retina where I do most all of my work. All my photo storage is on external devices; some attached directly with most of the storage on Synology NAS systems. Best of luck with whatever you do.

Agree with Apple. A little pricey but they last forever. Daughters have MPBs, the most recent being a 13" that she loves. My setup is a 2010 iMac which still runs well. IMO no need for the i7 chipset as others have mentioned. Personally I use an iPad Air for portability, but no processing, and do all processing on the desktop.

Best of luck.

Used to walk through here on my way to work on Park Ave. A lot nicer in the summertime!

I have a mid-2010 iMac and the color is accurate and beautiful. The problem with your 2011 model may only be a color calibration problem and you may be able to salvage it. If you still have your old Macbook Pro try this:

1) Go into "settings", "display" then "color". If there is more than one profile shown, try your monitor with each. If there is one, it will be the default profile. Now go to step 2.

2) Using a Spyder or a similar monitor calibrator, calibrate the monitor. That could solve the problem on your old laptop. If does, you will have both a usable desktop and laptop. If not, you are no worse off than you are now.

I use my Spyder 5 Pro to calibrate my monitor about once a month even though it only needs to slightly tweak Apple's default settings. It is inexpensive and should be used on all your computer screens to make sure that they all display your files identically. Additionally, by periodically calibrating your screens, you insure that when you have your photos printed that the color you see on the screen is what you see in your prints.

I have the same model iMac, love the color and really appreciate the suggestion to calibrate the monitors.

'65 also. Attended my 45th and 50th reunions in Illinois. Had about 100 attendees at both out of a class of 266. At the time of the 45th we had lost about 25.

Still have red hair, darker than the OP, with a bit of gray but thinner on top.

When I bought my 6000 right after Christmas I looked at the 6300 and decided that the better EVF wasn't worth the extra $400, which allowed me to get the 18-105 lens.

Love them both!

I've used them for a few purchases. About 20 minutes from me. Would have bought my Sony A6000 and 18-105 lens from them in January, but they were out of stock after Christmas. Very knowledgeable and patient in showing me all the options when I decided to go mirrorless rather than going with a Canon T6i.

I will go with them for the next purchase (lens) since it's a bit easier than B&H to get to, although B&H has better range of accessories (got my bag there).

it's a 56. You can tell by the tail light shape. Had a 56 wagon growing up.
