My idea of serenity in winter😀
Checking out visitors at Lion County Safari, Florida.
My reason for asking is that in the, "old days", when I was making hard prints on my SONY UPDA printer, I'd have to set my resolution to 300 dpi when I was using a 10mp Olympus camera nearly twenty years ago, which was state of the art, then. At the time I was selling memory mates of various youth sports. Haven't made any hard copies since.
What is the maximum size print that can be made from a 12 megapixel iPhone 7? How about the 24mp SONY 6000?
Easiest thing in the world to crop the image in your mind's eye and then proceed to crop it with whatever software you have after it's downloaded.
Kind of makes you want to go back to the good old days of film.
Thanks. Made with my favorite travel camera, iPhone 7 & simple editing in the phone. Whenever I hear someone lamenting about needing a, "good camera", I usually snap back with the reply that the camera, like anything else, is just a tool. It's the brain behind it that's important.

Here's one of my favorites. I made it this past October while in Paris with my cellphone.

Back in the day I always wore a tux and worked in medium format, Bronica SqA. You never get a second chance to make a good first impression. Got a lot of business looking and behaving professionally.
I agree to some extent, those who fight back have a better chance of survival and I wouldn't hesitate to do so in the most violent manner possible if my life or the life of a loved one were in jeopardy. However if you're in a foreign country or a rural guy in a strange city, you're on somone else's turf and forced to play their game (not an advantageous situation). If I ever had to draw a weapon, I would not do it to scare someone. I would do it for the purpose it was intended for, to end a life. I ask you, is a piece of photographic equipment or jewelry etc. worth a human life and the legal ramifications of your actions? I don't think so.
Carrying a firearm particularly to a foreign country is the damn dumbest thing I've ever heard of. Not only do you put yourself in a precarious position for further violence, you make yourself a target for local police. It's an unfortunate reality that crime does not allow us to use the photographic equipment we would like to but that's the reality of life. Lest you think I am some sort of anti-gun tree-hugging liberal, I am not. I am an experienced gun owner who no longer carries a gun and a Viet Nam era vet. Once you pull your gun, you had better be ready to use it (take a life, that's what it's for ultimately) otherwise don't carry it. It's a slippery slope only authorized trained personnel should have the responsibility of having. A camera, jewelry etc. can always be replaced.
OK, would love the Fuji but I don't want to sell my sole to buy one. A used Phase One is more in tune with what I can justify spending. So here's my question, along with the back, what else do I need to mate it to my 500cm? Chords, etc. Also, how many exposures will it accommodate.
All good responses, thanks. I love digital technology but I am old school. I can use a hand held meter and adjust focus & aperature manually. 👍
I have unsuccessfully been researching the web so can anyone help with this? I would love to purchase a used Hasselblad digital body that will accommodate the lenses I use on my 500cm body. Any information?
