I'm using PSE 2020 and thinking of upgrading to PSE 2024.

Looking for a good reference book for this as I'm unable to find the book by Scott Kelby which I've used over the years.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

What happens when you program Image Display = Off? Is the setting ignored and displays the shot automatically?

Never tried, but such that it is, I'll live with it.

How long do you have the preview set for? Or, are you saying that no matter how long you have it set for, that pressing the shutter is the only way to get it to go away?

I have it set for about 30 seconds, but no matter what time I have it set for I have to half press the shutter release to make the image go away.

The last time I asked a question on this camera/lens combo was back in 2017.

I have since purchased the Sigma lens and have had a "problem" with the camera not shutting off the preview screen after taking a picture.

I sent the lens back to Sigma and they said all is well, yet when I put the lens back on the camera, the same issue happens; the picture is taken, I check the preview screen, yet it will not shut off unless I half press the shutter release. I've pretty much have gotten used to doing this, but am wondering if anyone else has this problem and is there a fix?

Other than that, I'm quite happy with the pictures being taken.

Not sure if this will reach all those who replied, so if I missed you, I apologize.

I have finally made the decision to go with the Galaxy S22+ for many reasons, mostly is that I'm not ready to retrain myself and my wife on the iPhone ecosphere (hope that is the correct word).

There were other factors to the decision such as being able to customize the iPhone the way I would like it, availability of apps that I use on Android, comments I've read here on UHH and elsewhere, etc.

So, again, thanks to all who replied and providing your honest opinions.

Till next post, have a great day, afternoon and evening!

A lot of good questions that my wife and I will explore.

Consumer Reports has a great comparison chart I just printed out which will help in decision making.

Kind of where I am at this time. Not sure about the learning curve at my age (70+)!

Not sure this is the proper forum to sak this, but here goes.

My 2 GS10s are finally paid off and I thinking about switching to the iPhone 13 pro or staying with the GS22 ultra.

I've read many posts on this subject and not getting any definitive conclusions.

What are your thoughts and if you have any links for further reading, let me know.

Thanks in advance

Not knowing if you're using Android or iPhone, the Android version can be found at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nikon.wu.wmau&hl=en_US&gl=US

If this link doesn't work, google Nikon Wireless Remote Utility.

Sorry for being late to reply, but I want to thanks to all who replied.

What I decided to do is use the Nikon WMU app and set my camera on Auto or Aperture Priority or Shutter Priority and let the camera make the exposure. Not ideal, but for the number of times I'll be using the remote, it will have to do. The CamRanger is way too expensive and I just can't justify the expense.

Again, thanks to all for your suggestions.

Hi everyone!

Currently using the Nikon WMU wireless remote shutter release on my Galaxy S10 for my Nikon D5300. It's ok given it's a Nikon freebie.

What I'm looking for, if one even exists, is a wireless remote compatible with the D5300 that will allow me to change exposure if and when needed. With the WMU all I can do is trip the shutter. I've seen the Vello brand, but that does the same as the WMU, trip the shutter.

Short of there not being a remote with the ability to change aperture and/or shutter speed, (WB will be on Auto), what setting would you use - Auto, program, aperture priority or shutter priority?

Thanks to all who respond.

I use the Pro100 with Canon ink & paper. I pp using PSE 2020 and print using Print Studio Pro. Very happy with output. Easy to setup and use.

Can't help with Pro 300. Did you mean Pro 200?

Update.

I bought the Godox TT685N after much research and responses from the UHH members.

It's seems like a good unit for the price ($110.00 USD) although a little larger and heavier than the SB600. I bought it from Hunts Photo & Video in their Manchester, NH store where I have bought most, if not all, my photo and printing gear.

The flash has lots of settings which are easy to get to, but for the immediate now, I'm leaving it on full auto until I get a chance to play with it. The reason for leaving on full auto is that I have my grand daughter's birthday today and don't have time to play games.

Someone said the user guide is a bit difficult to understand, but looking at some YouTube video's, there a lot to look at. Eventually it will be easier to figure out.

Again, thanks to all and will try to update this in the future.
