You might enjoy a cruise in the Peruvian Amazon. Great photography there. However, if you want awesome scenes to photograph, a land tour in Southern Africa might be what you would enjoy. South Africa and Victoria Falls.
I have used Sony for years. Right now I have a Sony A99 (which I rarely use anymore...just too heavy!); a Sony NEX 7, and a Sony a7R. Get super photos from all three. A couple of the photos made in Africa using the NEX 7 with a zoom lens have been printed on 40" x 40" on canvas and the quality is great!
E-Bay is a good place to start looking. And Google. Also, there are some stores that sell old records.
I have an old pioneer turntable; it is in super good shape. When I was offered $300 for it, decided to get it working again. Love playing those old vinyls. But mine are 33's. Not sure about 78's.

Just flew back from Peru, could take two bags as carryon. But I only had one and it fit under the seat in front of me. What was in it? My iPad, iPhone, travel cameras and lenses along with a few things like glasses, passport, money. I never check cameras and lenses. But if you have to do that, TSA locks are inexpensive and I would suggest using them. Also, as well as a TSA lock, put a couple of twist ties where the lock goes. And,twist,them individually. It takes anyone wanting to help themselves to your "stuff" too long to undo all of them.
I had a GPS I bought in Columbus, Ohio when I was there on business. This was before my iPhone days. It worked great in Columbus, Ohio! But when I got home to Florida, no matter what I did, all directions went thru Columbus, Ohio! I had several people try to reprogram it (even the teenager down the street) and it still went thru Columbus, Ohio to give directions! So, advice to anyone purchasing a GPS system....do not buy a cheap one!
I agree that cell phone GPS works better than those in cars. All you have to do is hit the "home" button and ask for directions. You do not have to look at a map unless you want to. Siri,and I think that the Android equivalent, too, will just start talking giving turn by turn directions. When I traveled all over the country on business, that feature was very handy!
I use Siri on my iPhone. She sits on the console.
Thanks for posting that! My neighbor spent $350 at a computer fix-it place because she had typed in her eMail password wrong! Another almost computer-illiterate friend took her laptop to the Geek Squad because she could not copy a DVD...the disk was in up-side-down!
