From the movie Aliens.
Ripley:
They cut the power.
Hudson:
What do you mean "THEY cut the power"? How could they cut the power, man? They're animals!
Nice!
I love watching these guys *running* around in our backyard. Sure they can fly but it's funny to see how often they walk or run.
One morning last week I noticed this Luna moth sitting in one of our backyard bushes. This moth is not extremely rare, but a daytime sighting is, since they a nocturnal creature. It stayed in that spot and never moved a millimeter all day but was gone by 9pm.
They can not and do not eat and have a short lifespan, a week for this moth would be a good week. They live for this short time and for one purpose, to mate.
Also their travel is apparently guided by moonlight, so I’m guessing this moth coming out on a clear, full moon night was a plus.
This one was good size, approximately 5” from wing tip to wing tip. A pretty cool critter and one that many people will never see.
Just a quick phone shot.
While on the topic of the fisheye lens. Can anyone recommend a decent fisheye lens effect app for Android phones. Currently want one for a Moto. I used to have one on my old phone called Fisheye Live but it no longer seems available. Just want something fairly usable for occasionally fooling around and taking goofy pics.
They are Black-necked Stilts
Sad news indeed. I was very sorry to hear of Molly's passing.
My sincere condolences to her family.
What else to post as a tribute photo? An alligator of course. I know she enjoyed watching and photographing (and even caring for) these guys.
Here's a shot I took earlier this week.

I have had a wildlife photo blog on Word Press for three years and have been happy with them.
I have a few thousand followers, average over 500 hits a day and have had views from over 150 different countries.
You're a digital image hoarder. Join the club.
But the good news is that external hard drives don't take up a lot space relatively speaking.
If you were a hoarder of bicycles, old TVs, or cats, for instance, you might be in a bit of trouble.

As a RANK AMATEUR and new to the site it is very comforting to know there is a resource I can go to for info on new products, techniques, tutorials, etc. , by knowledgeable humans who respond immediately to queries.
So where are you going for that quality of information?

I have it on an Android phone and an Android tablet.
My wife has it on her iPhone and iPad.
If type 'camera repair Charleston SC' into Google stuff comes up but I don't know anything about them.
Alternatively, you can send it in to Canon Virginia for a clean, check, calibrate service.

This is from last weekend.
Is that a muslin backdrop? Looks like you have some significant wrinkles in it creating distracting lines especially behind and around the couple's heads.
You know what the first rule of Dying Club is right?
