yes, I have a D3 and have no problem using it.
I would take 16-35 and 85 1.4 and just the D810 body. Mobility>having every focal length covered. Wouldn't want longer unless I had a specific need like wildlife or sports. Just my two cents
LR and Photoshop are the industry standard and 10 bucks a month; roughly a coffee a week. Get them. You can save a lot of time and frustration by signing up for Kelby One or Lynda for training and how-to videos in place of surfing you tube. Tony Northrup is free on you-tube (he has some inexpensive and good books)
the 24-70 is a pro lens, the 24-120 is not, you can crop the d850 for the extra reach
get the 24-70, don't put walmart tires on a ferrari

Don't respond to the naysayers who question why you should upgrade. If you want to upgrade, do it.
Buy a full frame camera and enjoy it.
But, you will want better lenses.
this, yolo, one of my joys in life is shooting with a big honking ff Nikon just because and just for no reason
please everybody, have a fire sale on Nikon gear, I want a 200 f/2!
don't buy the cheapest or the most expensive; I like B+W
OK, UH-ers (not sure what you call yourselves) this is what happened...
"
went to BB carrying the 21" and saw my "dealer", he asked "bringing it back for the 27"?...yup
from where and is it a model for your country?
i would easily buy US branded refurb from a reputable shop. But I also handed over $2100 to a guy at starbucks a few weeks ago...14-24, 70-200, 16mm fisheye, carbonfiber tripod (2).....
Greetings!
I have one week left to decide so I'll ask my UH friends. I bought a 21" imac to replace a mac laptop. For and additional $300, I can exchange it for the 27" version. The differences are: larger, 5K screen and the ability to add RAM later. This can not be done on the 21" (thanks Apple!).
The larger screen is secondary to me. I am close to the screen and my second monitor is a 27". So, do I switch in order to future proof? Right now, I can open On1, photoshop, Lightroom, a browser with several tabs, and it runs fine. I have a D810 so the files are pretty big. I imagine there's a D850 a few years in the future when the prices come down.
